2019 Clos du Jaugueyron Haut-Médoc Bordeaux Rouge
Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Petit Verdot (Demeter Certified Biodynamic)
The majority of the grapes are de-stemmed but some whole-bunches macerate together for 7-10 days in concrete tanks. Grapes are gently pressed and then ferment in concrete before ageing in wood barrels where a small proportion of them are new. After one year in barrel, everything is blended and then bottled.
Michel Theron only makes 166 cases a year across 4 cuvees. This is a really special wine that can be drunk now or held onto for another 10 years. If you're a Bordeaux fan you'll enjoy this classically styled wine.
