2022 Jerome Lambert 'Le Zu deFruit' Grolleau
From two parcels of old vines, the grapes fermented as whole bunches for eleven days, before being pressed off to ferment for nine months in fibreglass vats. 2022 was a warmer vintage so this wine will be riper than the last.
Jérôme Lambert farms four and half hectares spread across small parcels in Thouarcé, Faye d’Anjou, Rablay-sur-Layon and Champ-sur-Layon around Anjou in the Loire Valley. He has worked organically from the outset and has been making wine without any additions for several decades.
